It's so much easier to relieve a sec 1 class than those of a higher level. The kids are still fresh from primary school and fairly innocent. And they're more likely to listen to what you say. When i went to relieve a class today, i gave them some prepared worksheet to do and said they had to finish by that lesson. All i said was "you have one hour to complete it", cos the lesson was one hour long, and they took it to mean that i was giving them a test! So they just quietly sat there and did the worksheet! Haha!

Anyway, the worksheet took less than half an hour to complete for most of them, so i went through the answers with them rather than let them run wild in class. And the thing about sec 1 English is that it's so easy, i don't even need to have an answer key. Heh. This was probably the most fruitful relief class i've had so far.

One of the boys in that class shitted in his pants and you could see the stain. But when i asked if he wanted to go to the toilet to wash up, he refused. I think he already tried washing up actually, cos he said he'd already been to the toilet, but his classmates still complained of the smell. But when i went right up to him to talk to him, i didn't smell anything... Still, it must have been really embarrassing for that poor kid, but he was putting up a brave front. What do you do in situations like this? I hope he didn't feel too badly.

Happy thing for the day: Relatively good classes today

Thankful for: Being more efficient today
