My first time working at the HV shop! It felt so weird... It was almost like i was new again, having to orientate myself to everything and not knowing where all the things are. Especially when it's busy, not knowing so many things gets irritating.
And half the staff i worked with, i met for the first time yesterday. And somehow, i felt really old... The atmosphere at this place is definitely different from the SW shop. And it seems they've not experienced what it's like to be really stressed on the job. Haha.
The churning machines there, being new, are very powerful. I got a bit of a shock when i had to use my full strength to churn! It really gave me a workout! I used to be able to almost single-handedly scrap the ice cream off the pan using my left hand at the SW shop's older machines, but now, my left hand alone is not enough. I had to use my body weight and both hands to coordinate! And then the new staff there were looking at me like i was so lousy... How embarrassing! :(
Well, i got a good workout from churning. Now i totally understand how T's hands got so muscular...
The worst thing about working there is having to travel home late at night. Although the journey is not long, compared to a 10 minute walk from my house, it is a hassle to get to work now. And since this shop closes later and Boss doesn't want me working morning shift, it means i only get to go home past 11pm. Today, i got home at midnight...
Somehow, i don't really feel like continuing to work, since i'm only working till the end of the year. It seems quite pointless for me to acquaint myself with the new environment and new people when i won't be there for long. Might as well just stop now, right?
But, i'm still going to continue till the end of the year anyhow. I don't like to go back on my word and what i've decided. And anyway, i don't like thinking that those new people i met think i'm lousy just because i'm quite lost in a new environment. I'll show them! Haha! :P
Thankful for: a new experience.
