Merry Christmas! :)

It's supposed to be a really special time of the year, but somehow, i don't feel the Christmas spirit. Festive occasions have become less and less important in my house since my brothers and i grew up. Heh :P

But it is nice to have a day like this when everyone is taking it easy :) The extended family didn't come round this year, so it was just us and i really prefer it better this way. Just a quiet, uneventful day.

I guess it's better when everyone's not feeling the hassle and rush that festive seasons can bring. I always think that Christmas has become too commercialised and without all the stress of buying presents, going to parties, decorating etc, you'll find that you have a lot more time to just be quiet, rest and contemplate. And how often can we find such quiet moments these days?

I rather enjoyed the fact that i had a peaceful day. No jarring sounds of construction from outside, no parents nagging us to clean, no need to really bother about anything except for what to eat. Heh. It was nice :)

Thankful for: Christmas! Because Christ gave us reason to celebrate :)
