I had a night out with the perverts! :) It was quite an adventure cos i've never stayed out like this before. Haha!

We met up for dinner at Central, after Pervert and i were held up in a jam by the whole APEC business. They somehow felt it necessary to close off a whole lane to traffic? Sheesh. In the end we got off the bus and walked to the mrt station, like most other people.

We had a rather unhealthy dinner at Manhattan fish market (Fish and Co. is a lot better) before going down clarke quay. SY brought us to the Merlion bar (that's not the name of the place, but i can't remember the name) where we sat chatting for a while before adjourning to some dessert shop (again, i don't remember the name) where we sat staring out the window and commenting on the people that went by. Haha! :)

It's quite interesting to see the nightlife and how it changes as it gets later. It was the first time i've been out late enough in such an area to see for myself the things i usually only hear about. There were many unglamorous scenarios. Countless smokers, people doubling over and puking, unsteady ladies at risk of exposing themselves, boyfriends who don't seem to care much about their drunk girlfriends, lots of PDA, people getting into a fight, people dressed in costume etc. It's really quite fascinating. Although i was quite happy to be a mere observer from the sanctuary of the shop :P

As the dessert place was closing, we headed off to sit by the river side instead, but got a bit uncomfortable at the thought of potential sudden appearances by rats and cockroaches, so we went to Macs in the end. We played a few card games, and proved that lack of sleep really does impair cognitive functioning, before Mer decided to go home and the rest of us decided to get a ride from her to KAP.

Upon reaching the carpark, though, the quietness and breeze made the scene so appealing that we just hung around there and chatted for a while :) I really preferred such quiet peacefulness to the activity down below. We finally left and went to KAP Macs, which was a much more appealing option as there were much fewer people and no random drunk strangers passing by outside or cigarette smoke wafting through the gaps in the doors.

Although i was ok for most of the night, by that time, i was feeling the effects of lack of sleep. So after breakfast and when we were sure that the buses were in operation, we all went home.

I got home at 6+ in the morning. Haha. After bathing and everything, i only went to sleep at around 7.30am. Though tired, i think it was a pretty fun night :) We had many interesting conversations and developed a *cough* better understanding of Pervert ;) Haha! It was great hanging out with those girls and i hope we can do it again sometime soon :)
