Pervert's birthday celebration

I was sitting on the bus when, as the bus started to move when the traffic light turned green, the driver of the truck 2 lanes away smiled and waved at me. How do i know it was directed at me? Because given that it's one of those big trucks, it was level with the bus and the car between us was too far below. Moreover, i was the only person sitting on that side of the bus.

My first reaction was to smile back. And then my brain caught up and i started to wonder why on earth was he smiling and waving to me. The i started to frown in confusion. And all this happened so quickly that i ended up smiling and frowning at the same time. It was a strange situation. Haha.

Anyway, i'd taken the day off cos i a number of things to do. Was supposed to meet Taky, Steph and Laura for brunch, but they couldn't make it in the end :( But that also meant that i could sleep in! :)

I headed to school to sit in on the ex-co's first meeting for a while, which was quite interesting. It's quite fun to just sit and observe what they do and their dynamics. Haha. Unfortunately, i couldn't stay for the whole thing cos i was going to meet the psych girls for Pervert's birthday dinner :)

We were supposed to meet at 1915 at City Hall MRT (where i coincidentally met Jerlyn and Phyllis too :)), but they were all late -__- Pervert was supposed to be there at 1930, but i guess it's just as well that she was late too. And i got there 15 minutes early! So i really waited a long time...

When the girls finally arrived, we headed to Ichiban Boshi at Suntec to get a place first. Since there were still late comers, i had to bluff Pervert that i was late and made her wait a long time at the MRT while the rest of us rushed to get ready. Ha... :P

After a whole lot of waiting, everyone arrived and we got a seat and so i could ask Pervert to come. She didn't seem too surprised to see the unexpected company. Surprise fail! Haha :P She didn't seem surprised when her cake, which SY and i went to buy when SY, who came late, arrived too. Surprise double fail!

Oh well. Unsuccessful surprises aside, we still had a good time hanging out. We headed to Starbucks after dinner and traded a few stories till the shop closed and we had to leave. Hope Pervert enjoyed herself nonetheless :)

I feel that it's a bit wasted though, that the months (yes, months!) of planning and research (yes! Research!) that i did for her original birthday plan turned out to be useless cos the plan didn't happen in the end :( But i guess the most important thing is that we all celebrated her birthday together :)

Everything that went on just made me feel that things are very different now...
